Adam Thoroughgood House
Constructed circa 1680 on this area’s original land grant, this National Historic Landmark is recognized as one of the most important treasures of colonial Virginia architecture. A.R.E. (Association for Research & Enlightenment)
The headquarters of the world famous psychic and mystic, Edgar Cayce, is located at Atlantic Avenue and 67th Street in Virginia Beach. Open year round to the public, visitors can see the original hospital building, the Visitor Center and enjoy a tour, a movie, and a free lecture. Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum
The Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum is located at 12th & Atlantic on the Oceanfront in the de Witt Cottage in Virginia Beach, the only “beach cottage” of its type remaining. The cottage was built in 1895 by the City’s first Mayor. It now houses a museum dedicated to the migratory waterfowl of the Atlantic Flyway.  On display are artifacts associated with the golden days of hunting in the region; antique decoys, fowling pieces, delicate carvings and paintings to name just a few. Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge
This amazing 9,000 acre freshwater wetland features ocean beaches, sand dunes, and beautiful wildlife in Virginia Beach. It offers a bird watching paradise. Venture down a bike path, walking marsh trail or take a boardwalk stroll. Habitats can be viewed from many paths and trails. Electric tram rides are also available. Open daily from dawn to dusk. CBN 700 Club

Hampton Roads Naval Museum

Jamestown Settlement
The world of America’s first permanent English colony is brought to life through an introductory film, gallery exhibits and historical interpretation in outdoor living-history settings. Visit a re-created Powhatan Indian village, replicas of the three ships that brought the colonists to Jamestown in 1607, a representation of the colonial fort and a riverfront discovery area that explores economic activity of European, Powhatan and African cultures that converged in 15th century Virginia.

The Old Coast Guard Station
Originally the Seatack Life-Saving/ Coast Guard Station built in 1903, the museum offers a rare insight into the early days of shipwrecks and life-saving efforts. Two galleries depict the history of the U.S. Life-Saving and Coast Guard Service as well as shipwrecks off the Virginia Coast. Very educational and interesting museum! Open Monday-Saturday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Sunday, Noon-5:00 pm. Closed Mondays October 1-Memorial Day. Admission charged. (757) 422-1587.

Princess Anne Courthouse
Here the old stands beside the new. At Princess Anne Courthouse, constructed in 1824, you can almost hear the rap of the gavel of yesteryear. At this beautifully landscaped Virginia Beach Municipal Center, you can view the 17 major administrative offices of the executive, legislative, and judicial departments. (757) 427-4111

Tidewater Veteran’s Memorial
This new memorial was designed as a tribute to area veterans of all wars.  It  is located at 19th Street across from the Pavilion. City business leaders, the military, and citizens throughout Hampton Roads have contributed towards construction costs of over $25,000. The site was donated by the City of Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach Convention Center Pavilion

Virginia Sports Hall of Fame

Virginia Zoological Park
Largest municipal zoo in the state, with more than 400 animals.  Adjacent to the zoo is a 50-acre park with picnic area, playground, and snack bar. Yorktown Victory Center
